Beyond the gifts, the lights, the meals, and the festivities lies a simple story. God, coming down to dwell with us. This is the essence of the Christmas story, that God was not satisfied to let humans remain far from him. Rather, he intersected the human story and brought about life, hope, and peace through Jesus.
But what does that actually mean for us? How do we process the coming of Jesus in our own stories of life, pain, sorrow, and victory?
This year we invite you to join us as we explore the stories of transformation made possible because he was sent. Our lives will never be the same, and we invite you to explore this great truth: we are here because he was sent.
WHAT TO KNOW
At Gateway Church, We celebrate Christmas in both traditional and nontraditional ways. We sing fun and nostalgic Christmas carols as well as contemporary songs to celebrate God’s gift of Jesus. This year we will hear the testimonies of several people whose lives have been transformed by the power of Christ, and we’ll finish our service with the traditional singing of Silent Night to candlelight.
No matter where you go to church, no matter what your past, no matter what you think about church, you are welcome at Gateway. We hope you’ll join us!
